Information you provide
When you create a GLOBALCELL.chat account, you are required to register a valid phone number. This phone number is used to facilitate the provision of our Services to you and to other GLOBALCELL.chat users. You may also choose to provide additional optional information, such as a profile name and a profile picture. All such information is protected with end-to-end encryption and is not accessible to GLOBALCELL.chat or any third party.
GLOBALCELL.chat cannot decrypt or otherwise access the content of your messages or calls. All communications are protected with end-to-end encryption, ensuring that only you and your intended recipients can access them.
To facilitate message delivery, end-to-end encrypted messages may be temporarily queued on GLOBALCELL.chat’s servers for devices that are offline (for example, when a user’s phone is turned off or the battery is depleted). Once the message is successfully delivered, it is automatically deleted from our servers.
Your message history is stored exclusively on your own devices and is not retained by GLOBALCELL.chat.
In order to support the operation of the Services, certain technical information is stored on our servers. This includes randomly generated authentication tokens, encryption keys, push notification tokens, and other technical data required to establish secure communications and deliver messages. GLOBALCELL.chat limits the collection and retention of this technical information to the minimum necessary to provide and maintain the Services securely and efficiently.
With your permission, GLOBALCELL.chat may access the contacts stored in your device’s address book to help you discover which of your contacts are also using our Services. This process is conducted using a privacy-preserving method designed to protect the confidentiality of your contacts.
To perform this function, information from your device’s contacts may be cryptographically hashed and securely transmitted to our servers. This hashed data is used solely to determine which of your contacts are registered GLOBALCELL.chat users. The original, unencrypted contact information is not stored or retained by GLOBALCELL.chat.
If you contact GLOBALCELL.chat User Support, any personal data you voluntarily provide will be used solely for the purpose of investigating your inquiry, resolving the issue, and communicating with you regarding your support request. This information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill these purposes and is not used for any other purpose.
You may manage and update your personal information at any time through the Settings menu within the GLOBALCELL.chat application. This includes updating your profile name or profile picture, as well as enabling additional privacy and security features such as a Registration Lock PIN. These features are designed to give you greater control over your account and personal data.
Information we may share
GLOBALCELL.chat engages third-party service providers to support certain aspects of our Services. For example, we may use external providers to deliver verification codes to your phone number during the registration process. These third-party providers are contractually obligated to process your information in accordance with their respective Privacy Policies and to implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data.
If you choose to interact with or access third-party services (such as YouTube, Spotify, Giphy, or similar platforms) in connection with our Services, your use of those services is governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of the respective third-party providers. GLOBALCELL.chat does not control and is not responsible for the data practices of such external services.
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or higher minimum age in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the applicable age limit.
Other instances where GLOBALCELL.chat may need to share your data
GLOBALCELL.chat may disclose your information in limited circumstances where such disclosure is necessary, appropriate, and permitted by law, including the following:
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental or regulatory requests;
- To enforce our Terms of Service, including the investigation of potential violations;
- To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security threats, or technical issues;
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of GLOBALCELL.chat, our users, or the public, as required or permitted by applicable law.
Any such disclosures are made in accordance with strict legal standards and only to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfill the relevant purpose.
